This hotel ticked all the boxes: right price (much less than others in this pricey city), right location (just a few blocks from the metro and within walking distance of restaurants at Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan, and in a lovely quiet residential/embassy neighbourhood) and the right facilities (aircon for DC`s sultry spring, plus a decent breakfast - I don`t want to feel like I`m paying for stuff I won`t use such as parking and piano bar).

3. We went for the Cherry Blossom Festivals and saw that most hotels and B&Bs were either booked or pricey.
