2. Free wireless - don't you hate paying $1295 a day for it at the Marriot? Only downsides for some - my room was cozy but not large and the hotel is a good healthy walk from the Metro.

6. The only downside was the front desk recommendation to take the open top bus tour, which should have been great - but they don`t have enough buses and I gave up waiting in the end and walked most of the circuit (a LONG walk.

7. The only downside is the 10+ minute walk to the Dupont Circle metro (uphill when coming back) but this is not an unreasonable walk by any means and is a very small price to pay for an otherwise convenient, reasonably priced, safe and charming hotel.
