1. The bar was extremely quiet the one night we tried so we only stayed for 1 drink as it lacked the atmosphere or good service that the rest of the hotel provided.

4. Minuses are rooms are dimly lit, horrible carpeting, no view, small rooms, lack of gift store, small lobby, free parking but limited spaces, small bathroom, no pool and very hard mattresses.

5. The neighbourhood is just lovely and, contrary to what we were told by the staff member who checked us in, we actually could walk everywhere we wanted to go: a long walk, but it's Washington, there's no lack of things to look at on the way.

6. Only minor issues are the lack of ice machines and the limited parking spots in the rear, but the staff has been very accommodating in the past, allowing us to park in their delivery zone overnight when all spots were taken.

Positives:- great location - about a five minute walk to Dupont Circle and 10 minutes to U/14th Streets- clean- small kitchenette in the room- the lobby and rooms have some character - not a chain hotel with the standard decor- nice view (from room 807)Negatives:- we were not given a room with a queen bed because we booked with Hotwire- the bathroom is small and lacking in storage space - e.

8. The main drawback was the lack of storage space - closet was very small and drawer space was limited leaving us to keep many items including suitcases in dressing room.

9. Bedroom is not separate from living area so if you are traveling with kids be aware of lack of privacy.
