6. We paid $152 inc tax for a very small room, no breakfast and no free wi-fi (even a smile from the staff cost extra apparently!)We had tried to book three nights but the hotel was full (thankfully).

7. Any other room this close to the beach, and this new feeling clean would cost at least $200 per night in Santa Barbara, and I could almost guarantee the $200 rooms are not as clean.
