Although the rooms are a little small, and space for clothes and suitcases is a little hard to find, they have been redecorated nicely in a Euro-type style, we find they are sufficient while we are spending tme in a wonderful beach town where we are going to spend most of the time outside our room, anyway.

Although it is a bit modest compared to the other more luxurious hotels in this town, we prefer spending less $ on a hotel, and using our extra $ to spend on nice seafood dinners, beach merchandise, and maybe a cruise in the harbor, etc. But, overall, we love staying here and look forward to many more summers with them.

6. We booked this Motel 6 for one night, even though we don't usually stay with this chain, but this particular one is 1/2 block from the beach and we've enjoyed it before for that reason.

7. It has a good beach but it is shame to see the pier so run down (especially when you see the boardwalk of Santa Cruz and Santa Monica's thriving pier).
