1. Sandpiper Lodge is well located near shops and restaurants and fairly convenient for downtown and the beaches.
"Good value for Santa Barbara, with an excellent complimentary breakfast " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/20/2011 Vote
2. This is nothing fancy but certainly worth $100 a night if you can swing it - Drawback is that its 3 miles from the downtown area, so a long walk or $13 cab each way if thats your thing - otherwise in a decent area of town, but not too many options or restaurants or bars in the immediate area.
"A bargain for $100 per night or less " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/7/2010 Vote
3. The receptionist was very helpful & recommended a local Italian restaurant called Via Maestra which is really worth eating at.
"Value for money & clean too. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/25/2010 Vote

6. However, the location, on the wrong end of State Street, away from most good restaurants and stores, detracted from the stay there.

8. The location was good, just off the freeway, near restaurants; good for a quick getaway, but totally over-priced, and a sub-par facility and customer service.
"Totally overpriced, subpar customer service, needs repairs " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/9/2007 Vote
