1. Desk clerk at check in was very nice; our room was fine except for one tiny thing -- we had no hot water Thursday evening/night, and no hot water Friday morning.

7. I wasn't expecting much, but the the check in staff was very friendly, they had a parking garage that could only be accessed with a room key, and a complimentary coffee bar.

9. When we questioned this we were told that the fee ensured only guests parked there, but we still didn't understand why this was chargeable and why the permit couldn't have been issued free of charge at the time of check in.

10. We were told at check-in that we'd need to pay to use the safe in the room (and having observed the other guests hanging out in front of the hotel, I was tempted to lock up everything I brought with me in that safe, including my toothbrush).
