When I discoverd what happen, I connected the cab driver & asked him to bring then back to the hotel & drop them off at the
front desk

clerk called his manager in order to cancel my reservation and it turned out the manager was the owner as he very quickly pointed that out to me.

None of the ice machines work & you have to see the
front desk
for ice but the hours are limited & the stairs are unavailable & oh did I mention the scary elevator.
"So Disappointing! "
