1. The location of The Ace is fantastic - we could see Powell's bookstore from our window (only 1 street over) and the amazing free transportation that Portland offers is right down the street.
"Great location, funky hotel! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/1/2011 Vote
2. Double-paned windows aren't enough to keep the noise from Stark Street out.
"Uncomfortable as a hotel; great bar " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/13/2011 Vote
3. No in-room or reception safe box, everything is just so cheaply put together like a dormitory, flea bag duvet, no hot water pot to make coffee or tea, soaps are dispensed using a gym shower unit, a regular room door using brass keys that can easily be duplicated just down the street (I doubt they change the locks every time a new guest arrives, lol) .
"A very expensive youth hostel at best! Poor on security. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/11/2011 Vote
4. Second Trip to the Ace - this time we had a front room instead of back which is noisier but much sunnier and fabulous people watching at the street below.
"Love Love Love this Place " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/22/2010 Vote
5. Additionally parking on the streets are free after 7pm, so if you will be using your car during the day, just park it on the street.
"Information and expectation " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/9/2008 Vote
6. The location was ideal, we were 2 blocks from Powells book store and walking distance from the Max train and street cars which made travel around the city very easy and enjoyable.
"Just a fun place " Read full review on Travelocity   7/1/2008 Vote
7. You can park free on the street until 8am the next morning.
"Totally decent " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/6/2007 Vote
8. FYI-Maybe you should ask for a room that doesn't face the street.
"Fun hotel-almost stole the blanket " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/23/2012 Vote
9. Parking tip- we didn't pay for the valet parking because we were able to find street parking nearby.
"Affordable cool " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/18/2012 Vote
10. We were greeted by a friendly staff, check-in took less than 10 minutes and off we went to our third floor street side room that had two beds and tons of light.
"Clean, convenient, friendly " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/12/2011 Vote
