' We have stayed at several Kimptons and absolutely love their quality assurance, their special touches (morning coffee + hot cocoa, evening wine happy hour, 'raid the mini bar,') etc. That said, when we booked a room on Christmas Eve at Hotel Vintage Plaza, we thought we'd be met with the same Kimpton quality we've grown to love and expect.

2. Mini bar was good, in that there was room to keep something (milk, in my case) cold, but no in room coffee/tea kettle was a very obvious oversight.

4. The suite is spacious, with a separate room for entertaining and watching TV, in addition to a well-stocked mini bar and an honor bar with snacks, water bottles, emergency supplies, etc. It's like having your own little condo away from home.

It was 4th of July weekend and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived and the bellboy greeted us, the front desk upgraded our room free of charge and we received a coupon for $10 of mini bar refreshments( a Kimpton in touch perk), The concierge was very helpful with restaurant choices, of which there are many in Portland.
