1. While this is not the most modern or luxurious hotel, the price was fairly reasonable (except for the additional charge for parking which I thought was a bit excessive) and as everyone has mentioned, it is a great location for walking to many of the sights.

CONS: overall condition of the room is old in appearance and needs to be updated with modern decor, kitchen looked worn out as well and some of the cabinets had mold growing inside, beds are NOT comfortable, breakfast items served at restaurant not good and below average (did not see anyone else eat there at that time), parking is about 30 per night and almost all hotels in that downtown area do charge to park a vehicle, breakfast not included in ratesOVERALL: Can not recommend this hotel due to conditions of the rooms.

6. Our room was on the 6th floor, with a balcony (no extra charge) overlooking the Benjamin Franklin Parkway -- great views of the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, fountains and the parkway.

7. Only after annoying the desk did I receive the Brag Book of Philly facts and the 2-inch teddy bear; the $93 charge for parking was mine to 'eat'.

8. We stayed during thanksgiving weekend and we thought it was a good deal because a lot of hotels in Philadelphia charge extra for parking.

9. The woman in charge of the breakfast room "Sharon" was lovely and suggested we take food back to our room for the next day so we wouldn't have to fight the crowd to catch our early am flight.
