However, Philadelphia is a great city to walk around and the Hyatt is a bit isolated separated from South
street
by the expressway and a good bit away from much of the center city action.

Society Hill (wonderful old row houses) and South
Street
(plucky club/dining district, Jims Steaks) are 8-10 blocks.

Oh, and it's not particularly public-transportation friendly, although it is reasonable walking distance to both Old City and South
Street
.

The hotel is a very short walk from the historic district - 10 minutes, if that, and if you don't want to spend $7 for a bowl of cold cereal, you can easily find a great little diner on 325 Chestnut
Street
- in the Old City, called Mrs.
"Great room, great view, but would I stay there again? Not sure.... "

On Sunday we took a cab to Pat`s famous cheesesteaks and then found we could stroll at a comfortable pace back through a wonderful open air Italian market along 9th
street
, which eventually ended up on South again.
"Some small glitches "
