1. The location alone is worthy of five stars; just across the street from Philly's city hall, within walking distance to many points of interest, with a SEPTA station merely 100ft from the entrance.

2. Market Street is shady at night (except for the last block near the water) so I would definitely recommend walking on Chestnut or Walnut when you're heading back to the hotel at night.

8. There are lots of cool restaurants in the historic district but we also found some fun looking bars and restaurants a couple of blocks from our hotel on 13th street between Chestnut & Walnut.

Positives: Perfect location to walk to many magnificent cultural and architectural sites such as the main Masonic Temple which is right across the street, the Philadelphia Museum of Art which is a nice walk of a bit over a mile, etc. The breakfast, as in all Residence Inns, is extensive and very enjoyable.
