1. A handful of amazing restaurants are right around the corner from the hotel, including Antoine's (highly recommended, as a side note), which is one of the oldest restaurants in New Orleans and home of the original Oysters Rockefeller.

2. I walk with a cane, so I found a step-free ramp to the main street, two city blocks to the waterfront, close to the cathedral, street cars and every classy restaurant in the French Quarter.
