1. Decatur Street also happens to have lots of great bars, shops and restaurants all along it, and if you're a relatively fast walker, you can get to almost anywhere in the French Quarter walking within 20-30 minutes.

4. The location is great- just a few short blocks from Bourbon street but far enough that you don't hear all of the noise from the bars.

7. Although we didn't get a chance to do dinner, we did have the guacamole appetizer and drinks at the bar and it was wonderful - I believe they also offer room service.

8. Since the week was cold, we'd go out for dinner but didn't want to stay out - it would have been good to sit downstairs in the bar for a bit rather than sit in our room.

9. Watch out for the noise from a club across the street from the hotel on a Saturday night - limits to what the hotel can do about it but it was so loud the windows were moving!`Hostel` a new bar across the road is worth stopping off for a drink on the way home.
