The spa is on the first floor of the hotel and you walk through the
lobby
past a huge fountain to get to it.

If, like me, you prefer to smell clean air - stay out of the
lobby
and elevator areas.

One couple, who moved from the Omni to the Roosevelt, reported that the Roosevelt's
lobby
and rooms were beautiful, but service was virtually non-existent.

We were there at the start to the Christmas season 2011 so the corner of the
lobby
was dedicated to gingerbread houses, very cool.

The property itself is very aesthetic, with marble floorings in the
lobby
along with beautifully chiseled chandeliers.

-When paying for a five star property, one can expect complimentary morning coffee in the
lobby
, unfortunately this property charged $4 for a cup of coffee.

I really liked the fact that with the
lobby
and Bistro Bar on the 3rd floor one is comfortably isolated from the hustle on Canal Street yet you are an easy walk to everything you need to see and do in the French Quarter.

The rooms and hotel
lobby
were gorgeously appointed, and we also really liked the courtyard, though the chairs were very hard to move and were not very comfortable in the courtyard.
