1. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, tho the hotel only has a few on their lobby list.

2. OK, it's not as beautiful as the Upper Garden District, but if you like to walk, you can walk to the French Quarter, and there's no lack of charm in the surrounding neighborhood.

8. $5 will get you an all-day pass, and we went to the zoo (there is a shuttle that will take you from the trolley to the zoo, or you can enjoy a lovely walk thru the park) and also to the French Quarter.
