1. Music plays through speakers around the property, courtyards have nice seating and landscaping (love the beads in the trees), a small but welcoming pool, breakfast was good with many options and nice seating areas.

Continental breakfast was more than 'continental'--serving eggs, sausage, toast, pastries, cereal, juices, etc. The location is perfect--far enough from the noise of the French Quarter to get a good night's sleep--but close enough to take a short trolley ride (Trolley stops right in front of the hotel) to the French Market, Harrah's Casino, French Quarter, etc. Hotel also has beautiful courtyards in three locations and a good-sized pool and a jacuzzi.
