3. Given the rich foods we were eating, and the fact that we are healthy and good walkers to begin with, this was not a huge issue, but I think it really could present a problem to older or more sedentary visitors.

4. Located in between a Wendy's fast food joint that smells bad both inside and out, and a bar/ restaurant where unfriendly looking characters sometimes gather in the evening: 'oh my God, we're in the ghetto,' exclaimed a newly arrived guest.

5. It's a great location for catching the street car (just across the street) and a 5-7 minute ride to the Quarter but its around several fast food restaurants which leads to some less than spectacular interactions.

7. The hotel is right next to a bunch of fast food restaurants, including the 'original' Popeyes and a bar, so it's a fairly bustling area.
