4. Hotel location is across street from Harrah's, the one casino in New Orleans (if you are into gambling, which I am not) and right down block from Mother's Restaurant, which is a draw for its home-style cooking.

5. just a couple of blocks from the Riverwalk Mall, Saks, and Pinkberry (yes, there is a Pinkberry Yogurt in New Orleans now!), and just across the street from Harrah's Casino.

6. Close enough to the fun on Bourbon street when we wanted, but far enough that we weren't bothered by it when we were done.

9. But that isn't a problem, there are plenty of breakfast places around there, just go to 'Mothers' across the street, which is excellent.
