3. Do venture out into the neighborhood - there are some excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (try City Hall, Bengal or the Daily).

4. Like any urban environment, you need to be aware of your surroundings, but I walk around Edgewater at night and have never had (or witnessed) a scary event.

5. Location wise it is a few minutes walk from Metromover station (free public transport which takes you around downtown Miami), which we took to get to AA Arena for the match.

9. Just a 2 minute walk from the Hotel is the mono rail that will take you for free to many places around the city including the Bayside shopping on the water.

10. However, I was genuinely amazed at the quality of the room and the professionalism of the staff, at this seemingly ordinary hotel within walking distance (if you are FIT like me) of the American Airlines Arena.
