4. The hotel is located on the bay/inlet side of the water adjacent to the causeway to access Miami Beach, so nice view of bay, cruise ships & terminals, etc. Greatest perk is convenience to the free monorail (people mover) that can hop you over to Bayside Marketplace and other places of interest.

It was our first stay at the Hilton Miami Downtown - the main points for our decision were: - easy access by car from / to airport / the Keys, north direction Fort Lauderdale, etc. - near the port- lounge- near public transport means (metromover / bus to Miami Beach)- quiet area- not as much overpriced as many downtown hotels, but easy access to downtownAll of the above points were met and we certainly will choose the Hilton again for our Miami stays.
