1. I was surprised at how delicious the conference food was - a breakfast buffet with individual baked eggs was a special treat, and our 'Cuban' themed dinner buffet with roast pig, fired platains, and minted fresh citrus fruit was an unexpected pleasure.

7. There is a Burger King and a Checkers literally right across the street from the hotel so we grabbed a fast lunch there - enjoying being outside and not freezing to death and knowing that we would be having a nice dinner that night.
