6. We decided at the last minute to go to Jacksonville on July 4 and were able to get a room at the Omni all other hotels on Jacksonville Beach and downtown had no vacancies.

7. All in all a good stay, but if we head to Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl again in the future, we`ll stay at one of the beach properties and drive into downtown (30 minutes) for the festivities and the game.

8. Turndown service was automatic and they left fresh towels, chocolates and bottled water in the room when I returned from a night out at JAX Beach.

9. We were only 15-20 minutes away from everything we needed--family, the beach, shopping, etc. I don`t know that I would categorize this as a 4 star hotel, but it was close enough and we would probably stay again.
