1. Shopping is a little far to walk (one of our friends was older, the rest of us could have walked), but the hotel's shuttle service is available to all downtown areas.

3. As I had clients to see, I recommend the hotel for family because blocks away nearby is the Aquarium, many Theatres, and Minute Maid Park within walking distance of The Lancaster.

There are, of course, alternatives, you can walk a couple of blocks away and pay additional charges, or if you can find a parking space on the street, you can leave it there overnight (after 6pm until 7am) but in a city the size of Houston I think they could do more to make it a bit easier for customers.

9. We were able to walk to Birroporetti's for dinner, take another short walk to the Alley for the play and back to Biroporetti's for dessert and across the street to the hotel.

10. I was in Houston for a concert at the Verizon Wireless Theatre and this hotel was just a block or so over from it so it was an easy walk.
