1. My view out the window was the old Alley Theatre across the street which looked beautiful in the surprise snowfall the next morning.

2. It is literally across the street from The Alley Theatre and Jones Hall (Broadway musicals and Houston Symphony), and two blocks from The Wortham (Houston Ballet, Houston Opera) and Verizon Theater (concerts).

There are, of course, alternatives, you can walk a couple of blocks away and pay additional charges, or if you can find a parking space on the street, you can leave it there overnight (after 6pm until 7am) but in a city the size of Houston I think they could do more to make it a bit easier for customers.

8. We were able to walk to Birroporetti's for dinner, take another short walk to the Alley for the play and back to Biroporetti's for dessert and across the street to the hotel.
