1. While the hotel is still acceptable it is beginning to show its age, and some aspects of it are getting very sloppy.

4. The neighborhood around the hotel is safe (for a big city) and well patrolled, and there are a number of nice restaurant and entertainment options within walking distance.

8. Prices are in keeping with a good hotel so this is not a bargain lovers dream, unless you come when a conference or sporting event is not in downtown Houston.
