7. These hotels are ambitious, flashy, weirdly oversized for their locations, and a bit incongruous, perhaps overcompensating for their humble surroundings by overdoing the luxury decor a bit.

8. But otherwise it is pretty average in all respects, the rooms, the decor etc. there is a pool hidden on the top floor with views over Houston.

9. The decor is modern and everything is very clean, we requested a corkscrew and it was delivered to our room promptly, however, we did request robes (we didn't pack ours because we figured the room would have them available) the robes were never brought to our room.

10. Completely nonsensical 'luxury' decor was tacked on to every surface in a futile attempt to compensate for the cavernous spaces, but rather than feeling impressive, it only served to give lodgers a sense of alienation.
