6. PRO: Great location especially if you are into retail, hotel anchors not one but two upscale malls and ritzy Newbury Street is a few blocks away; lobby bar seems like a local hot spot; hotel has its own Starbucks in the lobby; rooms are smallish but well appointed; public transportation is plentiful; Amtrak Back Bay station is a three minute walk; killer views from upper floors.

9. The lobby area (which really covers multiple floors, especially the first and second, with open areas on the third and fourth related to the conference facilities, all connected by open escalators) was nice enough, although there weren't always enough seats if you wanted a place to hang out for a while and use the free wireless (it's a pricey $12.95/day to access the Internet in the room, but wireless in the lobby is free).
