1. Our requirements were simple; to find accommodation for our family of 5 in San Francisco at a location within walking distance of cable cars and close to a good selection of restaurants - without paying the earth.

2. I didn't realize when I booked that there was breakfast every morning (cereal, bagels pastries, fruit) which helped to cut down on restaurant meals.

4. If your stay in San Francisco involves spending much of your time in the downtown (Union Square, etc) and you don't want to eat every meal at a restaurant then you will love the Grosvenor.

10. What you don't get are restaurants, bellboys, incredible decor etc etc. What you do get is a fantastic location, a great staff (everyone we have ever dealt with here is incredible) and a really fair price for Nob Hill.
