The free limo service
downtown
on weekdays was most welcome, and one of the drivers was particularly loquacious and a real source of local knowledge with regards to the best night spots, coffee, and other vital necessities.

We also stayed two nights at the Mosser at Market St and 4th in the midst of all the hubbub
downtown
, and both of us liked the Queen Anne much better.

downtown
or out by the water for those coming to SF for their first visit.

It took us 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to
Downtown
, but if you are tired of walking, you can easily catch a bus, which brings you directly to Union Square and some Bart Station.

Loved the location, easy to find, inbetween
Downtown
and Japantown, not far from Golden Gate Park or Fishermans Wharf.

Downtown
has higher prices for the convenience of being centred in a hotbed of activity.

Overall, if you want a place near
downtown
, but not in
downtown
, this is a good choice.
