I have also stayed at the Sofitel (literally across the
street
)--it is also wonderful.

Maybe because of the dog friendliness , but the hotel across the
street
is also dog friendly.

Although I was on the 6th floor, I did not hear any

The last time we stayed in Philadelphia we stayed at the Loews on Market
Street
and this location was far better.

The location is central in Center City, its just a short walk to Rittenhouse Square and all the good shopping along Walnut
Street
.

the only place we had to drive to was the phillies game :-) also - parking is free on the
street
between 10 pm and 8 am - so if you are an early riser that is a good option (we did that one night).

Room was pleasant enough but noise from the

woke us around 2 am.

Honestly, I would have rather stayed at the Sofitel across the
street
, which I found to be a lot more comfortable, refined and understated (stayed there three months earlier).

I was surprised how quiet it was, no noise from the
street
, always helps to be on the highest floor.

I would have liked more of a open city view than what we received (obstructed by buildings) but we still liked being able to see the
street
and plenty of natural sunlight.
