Housekeeping
was very good and this is the only hotel I have stayed in where the maid has left us a note thanking us for her tip.

The welcoming of the desk crew, the luggage carriers, the
housekeeping
staff, the dining room staff and the bar crew is amazing.

From the valets/bellhops and front desk to the restaurant staff and
housekeeping
, everyone is extremely professional without losing a familiar and inviting warmth.

By then, I was tired and still had to get some stuff done, so i didn't feel like calling for
housekeeping
-- which would have required me to vacate the room for awhile.

I don't know what is more disturbing: the fact that
housekeeping
just comes into your room (while you're naked with your spouse no less!) an hour after your check-in (so obviously the room doesn't need servicing.

To Palomar's credit, they did try to make amends with the
housekeeping
/dog situation by sending up sparkling cider (remembering that I can't have alcohol) and chocolate covered strawberries, plus free continental breakfast for my husband and I.

But really, all of these problems could have been easily solved with two things: a chain lock (to keep
housekeeping
from coming in and my dog from going out), and a good fan (to keep us cool and to provide white noise to sleep).
