3. Don't be put off by the idea if you have youngish kids - our 7 yr old did just fine with us on the paths along the water, over the GG Bridge (rather loud on bikes, but oh, the views), and into Mill Valley for a fabulous lunch at a local hangout tucked away a few streets in.

4. The access to the Mermaid restaurant was convenient for breakfast and lunch (and rainy days) and the entrance off the entryway to the Maritime museum was perfect for our party to browse while waiting to convene.

5. Being on Fishermans Wharf the hotel provides easy access to a whole host of eating options, although we didn't try the breakfast we did pop to the linked Mermaid restuarant for lunch and enjoyed an excellent Crab Chowder in a bread basket.
