2. Having sussed out the Four Seasons (very good, but would have cost us $1200 per night - for interconnecting rooms), the Westin (had conferences on - and you couldn't get a lift.

3. If I was in charge, I would have provided free coffee to all the guests in the lobby and maybe opened their Continental Breakfast to everyone in the hotel as a way of showing good faith at minimal cost.

4. We enjoyed the Science Centre, the SFMOMA (good restaurant too), the GG Bridge, the 4th of July fireworks, the Blue and Gold boattrip, the open top hop on bus (negotiate the cost of your tickets with the coupons you get in the free travel pamplets- use it for 48 hours rather than two consecutive days), use the BART to and from the airport (the machine is confusing to buy your tickets, so ask for help if you need it), go to Happy Hour at Il Fornaio (great deal and you might meet nice people- we did twice.
