1. in the financial district just two blocks from Chinatown and still walking distance (if you're in great shape) to fisherman's wharf and north beach, or a 5 minute cab ride for about $10.

2. we could easily walk to financial district, union square, coit tower, lombard, north beach (best for dinner.

3. And we especially loved that it was walking distance to China Town, Union Square, the Convention Center, North Beach.

4. We walked up a huge hill just a couple of blocks (part of the San Francisco experience), then it was down hill all the way through China Town and North Beach (Little Italy) to Fisherman`s Warf.
