1. There are heaps of restaurants & bars in the vicinity and also some great shopping outlets.

2. Centrally located to transport, cable cars meters from door, shopping, restaurants, bars, Chinatown all within walking distance, even Fishermans Wharf if you can walk 2 blocks uphill as the rest is downhill.

4. The bar had a super friendly bartender named Jen that chatted with us, recommended nice wines and made the experience that much better.

The staff are very friendly and efficient, door staff especially coming forward with suggestions of places to go, nice bars to visit etc. We didn't eat at the hotel - we did have a breakfast at Sears, as per one of the reviews here and that was very good, but we preferred the Cafe de la Presse (more expensive than Sears which is saying something) as they offer a good range of French bakery as well as the American classics for breakfast.

6. I found three really good sushi bars within 1/2 block from the hotel.
