1. Do try a great restaurant in downtown Miami called Camillas near the Knightcentre great all you an eat buffet for $9.95 which included dessert, filter coffee and if you order a soft drink it costs a $1 and is refillable at no extra charge.

2. I was very pleased in the end, I got to the hotel and not only was I allowed to check in early at no extra cost but also got a free room upgrade to a penthouse room.

3. made a couple of local phone calls and when we checked out the charge was 25.00!we tried to dispute it and they said that it is posted in our room that calls cost.

Our room was slightly low tech compared to the Loews where we stayed later that week - the Loews cost only $40 a night more but it is 1000% nicer because it's a Loews) That said, the Albion is a pretty good deal for what it is, and it's clean and the bed was comfortable, etc. The only thing is that it is NOISY.

6. A good tip is that there are blue busses that circle South Beach in both directions called South Beach Local, run frequently and cost only 25 cents - so getting anywhere is fast and easy.

7. we took city buses to North Miami Beach to check out the Bal Harbour Mall, and it only cost $3 round trip.

8. Not sure where you park when you go here, so we did the valet parking, which will cost a fortune, but I don't blame the hotel for that - I understand that this is a common problem with hotels around South Beach.
