We went back when we were able to check-in and the front desk staff got us in to our room after putting up a $50 deposit on a seperate card that they said would stay pending until check-out for things like room service or movie rentals, I was unaware of this charge but had no problem putting up the deposit.

8. c) Every time I went to the desk from check in, to requesting directions to asking for a late check-out, there wasn't anyone there, and I had to cough or knock on the desk or make some sort of sound so that the person in the back room would notice I was there.
