1. I enjoyed the InterContinental because of it location, friendliness of staff, food during meetings and meals, amenities are nice.

On the positive side: 1) it is in a good location, especially for shopping on Michigan Avenue; 2) it is also a short cab ride (couple miles) to business meetings in the Loop; 3) at its core is a grand old building that was the Medinah Athletic Club developed by the Shriners; 4) it underwent a $250MM refurbishment with a new tower and real effort at amenities in the rooms; and 5) it has a large and friendly staff.

Downtown, situated on the Magnificent Mile, with amenities to burn, this is a great hotel-- close to all the down-town attractions, within walking distance of all the city-side amenities and shopping opportunities of this premier midwestern city, the Intercontinental offers everything one might need for a pleasant stay in Chicago.

6. It has recently been redone with new carpet, furniture, wallpaper, etc. It is luxurious and filled with amenities.

9. Another excellent amenity, the historic swimming pool, renovated but with all its original features left intact, definitely should not be missed.
