The street noises are relatively muffled, and there are some very good
restaurant

Especially with NYC taxi availability and service so awful (not just this reviewer's opinion--ask the hotel employees who try to flag down cabs for their customers), being able to walk to every Broadway Theater in a matter of minutes and having decent
restaurant
s just slightly farther away makes this location worth the stay.

We did find a great Indian
restaurant
a block away (ask Concierge), and an Irish bar opposite which meant not having to queue in Times Square for food in the pouring rain.

The pros are that the hotel lobby, elevators and room were clean, with friendly service, fast elevators, nice flat screen TVs in the room and steps to a Starbucks and two excellent Italian and French

Tip: The
restaurant
breakfast was good, but if you want a little more reasonable price, head down 44th towards 8th, a few blocks is The Red Flame.
