2. Everything was better than expected - from the location right in the heart of Soho, to the chic decor, to the ambiance, to the attentiveness of the staff (not too little or too much) to all the room extras - no charge for most of the honor bar items (except the alcohol of course).

3. We had a pre-dinner cocktail in a rooftop bar called 230 5th (literally 230 5th Avenue) whch has spectacular views - well worth a cab ride.

6. The lounge/reception area has high ceilings to create an immediate feel of space & calm, the opposite of the underground, dark, yet swanky Kitchen bar/restaurant - great food & wine, if you can see what`s infront of you.
