1. The monorail was just a block away for a quick ride to the Space Needle and the very interesting Pike Place Market at the waterfront was an enjoyable 15 minute walk.

5. The hotel was well located for visiting the Space Needle, Space Center, Pike Place Market and the Waterfront and the Concierge was very helpful with all my queries regarding local restaurants and even supplied me with some discount vouchers.

6. While down at the waterfront, eat fried fish at Ivar's, visit Ye Olde Curiosity Shop to see real shrunken heads and a mummy, browse the Seattle Antiques Market, and learn about Puget Sound ecology at the Seattle Aquarium.

7. Hard to find a better location: just a block from where the airport train stops (Westlake train station and bus tunnel under Nordstrom's, from which you can get almost anywhere), across from the Westlake shopping center and monorail hub, across the street from a pharmacy which sells snacks and minimal groceries, and only a short 15-minute walk to Pike's Place market and the waterfront.
