1. This downtown Mariott is approximately 10 blocks from Union Station (Amtrak), 1 block from 'the Max' (Portland's surface street train - free for the downtown corridor and approx $2.50/person for treks to the outter areas) and numerous downtown bus routes.
"Super convenient! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/22/2012 Vote
2. Fortunately, there's free street parking at night, but prepare for some jockeying of parking spaces to keep the cost down.
"Not your mother's courtyard " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/7/2012 Vote
3. It's on a quiet street , across from a Starbucks and the staff are very welcoming and nice.

4. Pros: * Great location - within walking distance to multiple TriMet stops, shops (Powells is only a few blocks away, and if you like chocolate or hot chocolate, try Moonstruck Cafe on Alder a few blocks away), food trucks, the jogging/biking path along the river, Starbucks across the street * Decent gym on the 3rd floor (open 24x7), really like the towels, packaged headsets and fresh water provided - nice touches!* Great value (I managed to get a pretty good corporate rate)* In-room refrigerator* Quiet rooms - while I could hear doors closing in the hallway outside, I did not hear my neighbors* LEED-certified - good to see environmental stewardship in action * Remodeled, sleek lobby, and very comfortable beds and rooms Cons: * Rather unreliable Internet access in the room - wireless kept disconnecting, wired stopped after one day (found a bad cable from the phone to my laptop).
"Superb location, some service kinks " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/16/2011 Vote

7. Best location in Portland, everything within walking distance or within the boundaries of their free transportation Max system (above street metro line).
"Five stars all the way " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/29/2009 Vote

"Clean Contemporary Downtown Hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/2/2009 Vote
9. Parking is not easy in this city and driving around can be a challenge, with all the one-way streets, so pay the $30/day valet fee at the hotel and get out and walk this great city, it's a blast.
"Great Hotel, Geat Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/14/2012 Vote
10. So I had to wander to Starbuck's across the street to use a restroom.
"Too much self-congratulating on being eco friendly and not enough guest-friendly " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/9/2012 Vote
