4. I had an inside room with a view of just the interior courtyard and next to the housekeeping room, so it wasn't spectacular, but the upper floors must have nice views of downtown and either the hills or the water.

5. All the staff was friendly and went out of their way to be so-the front desk for extra directions, etc, door men with an umbrella, and housekeeping immediately bringing up a ironing board when we found ours not functional.
