1. This downtown Mariott is approximately 10 blocks from Union Station (Amtrak), 1 block from 'the Max' (Portland's surface street train - free for the downtown corridor and approx $2.50/person for treks to the outter areas) and numerous downtown bus routes.

3. Since the NCAA Basketball Tournament was in town for the days we were in Portland, we were fortunate that this property had availability, since it seemed like most of the downtown hotels were already booked to capacity.
