5. The employees were friendly (and appeared to be genuinely so, not just because they have to be), the room was clean, the bathroom was huge and best of all, the price was great given the proximity to downtown and the Pearl.

8. if you want to be pampered, the Hotel Monaco is always a great choice (and we generally stay there) but this hotel offers a better price point and the location is actually a little closer to the Pearl District and Satruday Mkt/waterfront (always something going on there.
