I looked at the Travel Portland website before making the reservation and there was a fantastic deal that the hotel was participating in to encourage shoppers between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays - we received free breakfast vouchers for each night stay, free parking (which would otherwise be $29/day), and $50 cash upon check in.

10. We were concerned about the expense and convenience of parking but needn't have been - on street parking is available for blocks around and is free between 7pm and 8am so no pricey valet or overnight parking is necessary (Different hours at the weekend) so we managed to park right outside the hotel for nothing.
