1. I in fact understood this might not be the best place to stay, got an okay rate and don't feel too ripped-off, hence the relatively generous 3 stars.

The Asst Manager reluctantly came to the room, looked at what I had to show here and since I booked on the internet and had my credit card already charged for the full room rate refused to do anything except move our room ( which took until after 4;30 pm and the cockroach was found just before 1pm) .

7. If you understand and can tolerate the shortcomings of this property in advance and the rate (add $15 per night to whatever is quoted) is cheap, then it's an okay place.

I've stayed at MANY of the hotels in South Beach and this one I would rate as average - its no where as bad as the reviews are stating and its right in the heart of SoBe - Wet Willies and News Cafe is literally around the corner from this hotel and of course the beach is across the street (Ocean Drive).
