1. I would strongly recommend the resorts near Lihue.

2. We would recommend this location to anyone new to the island or planning on spending time on both the north and south sides of the island or to anyone traveling with families that plan to spend a week or more on Kauai.

3. The Oasis restaurant in the resort is very nice and we would recommend it - one nice feature is that it has half portions available.

4. Note that we had a room that faced the road and we would recommend trying to get a side room, pool room or a room facing the ocean as they would have less road noise (as the complex is very close to the road).
